2022 Code Reports — Still Available for Older Permits
The 2025 California Building Energy Efficiency Standards apply to all permits submitted on or after January 1, 2026. However, many projects permitted before that date still need Title 24 support. Specifically, these situations require a 2022 code report:
- Plan check corrections — your building department requested a correction on a report submitted before January 1, 2026
- Permit revisions — design changes to a project permitted under the 2022 code
- Expired permits — re-submitting a project that was originally permitted under 2022 standards
